Born and raised in West Lafayette Brittany, a true townie, attended Purdue University, Boiler up! While at Purdue Brittany was a member of PRSSA and Boiler Communications, a student-run public relations firm. Through Boiler Com and other programs she did non-profit PR and advertising work for clients such as the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, Meals on Wheels and the Tippecanoe Arts Federation. Throughout both high school and college Brittany also worked at a local hair salon and day spa where she was able to gain valuable marketing and communications experiences.
After graduating from Purdue with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in Psychology, Brittany received the opportunity to work as an intern for TrendyMinds. After proving herself during a grueling fall internship, Brittany earned a permanent spot on the TrendyMinds strategic team. As Junior Account Executive, Brittany works on a range of client projects including web content writing, PR pitching, research and social media. In addition to account work, Brittany helps keep this place running by fulfilling some clerical duties.
In her spare time, Brittany can be found spending time with friends and family, going on long jogs outside, spending way too much money on clothes and cheering on her favorite sports teams – the Purdue Boilermakers and the Philadelphia Phillies.
To start off, I would pay off all my bills as well as those for my family and friends. After donating to multiple charities and buying various vacations houses, I would fly all my friends and family to an exotic location for a giant all night barbecue, beach bash.
I love the constant interaction with other people. I love building relationships and working with others to achieve a common goal.
I really enjoy cleaning because I am sort of a neat freak. I especially enjoy vacuuming and shampooing my carpets; its how I get my fix. Also my favorite snack is bbq chips dipped in cottage cheese that I like to wash down with a marshmallow cherry coke.
My cell phone (I would be completely lost without it), my computer and does my closet with all my clothes count as one item?!
If I could have one super power it would be able to transport anywhere I wanted instantly. I would just think of the place I need to go and “poof” I was there. It would cut back on all the time I spend traveling and with the high prices of gas it would save me money that I could spend on shoes or cupcakes.
Somewhat realistically I think it would be Amanda Bynes (brunette). She is always awkwardly quirky in her movies like I am, and we both have baby faces with chubby cheeks.
I have always wanted to learn how to surf. I want to be able to go to Hawaii and hang ten with the locals.
I go for a very long run with my IPod anywhere outside. I love being outside, rather it be running through the country or through a park it is my ultimate de-stressor.
I would move to any city with warm weather, a lot of sunshine and a sandy beach. I would want to live in a city with a chill atmosphere where I could spend a lot of time outside in the warm weather.
While I do possess some athletic ability, I think my extreme clumsiness and knack for being extremely unlucky would prevent me from ever obtaining any type of Olympic medal.
