Interactive Services / Web Intern - Ongoing

We are in the process of shopping around for an amazing interactive intern. Are you The One?

  • Do you have strong feelings about Internet Explorer?
  • Do your friends give you a hard time for obsessing about "web nerd" news and rumors?
  • Are you more excited about the prospects of HTML 5 than you are about, well, anything else in life?
  • Could you hold an impassioned debate about the future of Flash?
  • Can you write code faster than you can talk?

If you're getting all geeked up just thinking about interactive design, come find a (temporary, 10 week long) home with us.

We treat our interns like (gasp!) people. We’ve even been known to hire the amazing ones, when the opportunity arises. You’ll get direct, hands-on experience, working on actual campaigns for big-name clients that even Grandma will recognize and shaping the foundation of emerging businesses that might just be the next big thing. While we can’t promise you’ll never have to do tedious tasks, we can promise you’ll walk away from this internship with new work for your portfolio and valuable relationships with our interactive. Maybe this will lead you to a job with a million dollar salary. Or maybe not. (But if it does, feel free to send us a check to say thanks).

What kinds of things might you work on in a day?

  • Social media integration
  • Website design and development
  • Creating sitemaps and wireframes
  • Assessing and implementing SEO strategy
  • Assisting with video shoots and/or video editing
  • Email design and administration

Our perfect addition will:

  • Be proficient in the wonders Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash
  • Speak HTML, CSS, and Search Engine Optimization. And English. That helps, too.
  • Have the kind of experience with video, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro that might make James Cameron feel only like the Prince of the World
  • Have the ability to follow direction and meet deadlines. (Kind of important.)
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to think outside of the parallelogram.
  • Possess a mentality that is detail-oriented and thorough
  • Have outstanding communication skills and a great sense of humor. We have fun. You should, too.
  • Have a willingness to go above and beyond client expectations.

Mr. or Ms. Intern will need to be able to work at least 15 hours a week. This internship is 10 weeks long and has a one-time stipend paid at the end of the internship.

To Apply:
Please, no phone calls. We really, really mean this. Interested candidates should email a resume and portfolio. If selected for an interview, candidates should be prepared to explain, in detail, their involvement in each portfolio project. If we think you might just work out here, we'll find you.
