Strategic Services / Public Relations Intern - Ongoing

We're casting the role of Strategic Intern. That's a fancy way of saying, "Intern who will assist the strategic department with various functions including public and media relations, internal and external communications, copywriting, ad buying, and other such marketing and promotional tasks." Whew. Do you think you're up for it?

  • Do you roll your eyes when you read another blog post on the death of the press release?
  • Does it annoy you when your friends think working in PR means planning VIP lists for parties?
  • Do you understand that not all PR is good PR, and that PR is not free?
  • When you listen to commercials, do you think, "Yikes, who wrote that copy!?"
  • Do you read the AP Stylebook for fun?

We treat our interns like (gasp!) people. We've even been known to hire the amazing ones, when the opportunity arises. You'll get direct, hands-on experience, working on actual campaigns for big-name clients that even Grandma will recognize, while shaping the foundation of emerging businesses that might just be the next big thing. While we can't promise you'll never have to do a boring task now and again, we can promise you'll walk away from this internship with new work for your portfolio and valuable relationships with our strategic staff. Maybe this will lead you to a job with a million dollar salary. Or maybe not. (But if it does, feel free to send us a check to say thanks).

Want to know what you might do on a daily basis?

  • Be creative. Obviously. But we really, really mean it. Blow us away.
  • Have the ability to follow direction, meet deadlines and generally act like a responsible adult
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team and play well with the others in the figurative sandbox
  • Have a curiosity about how the interactive and creative departments work with strategic services to achieve client goals

To Apply:
Please, no phone calls. Seriously, we mean this. Interested candidates should email a resume and portfolio. If selected for an interview, candidates should be prepared to explain, in detail, their involvement in each portfolio project. No need to follow up on your email -- if we think you might be a good fit for us, we'll track you down somehow.
