Our move in date is so close we can feel it. Which is a good thing because we are going to need a place for all of our new people to sit! Recently we’ve added carpeting and paint detailing on every level. As these finishing touches come in, you can really see the level of detail we’ve put into incorporating our new brand - which we look forward to introducing soon! The staircase connecting all three levels is wrapping up and we have new kitchen appliances. The kitchen and multiple levels of space are going to make such great meeting spaces for our clients and us.

As we begin the... read on

Step one foot into the new office this week and you’ll notice a difference. That’s because there are actual finished floors underneath your feet! The hardwood is down in the kitchen and tile has been laid in the lobby, bathrooms and lower level.

Speaking of the lower level, we now have bathrooms with functioning toilets and sinks! As you know from a previous post, we can’t wait to upgrade from our current SINGLE bathroom to six new private restrooms at our new location. In addition, we also have a shower that will come in handy after those lunch hour jogs or trips to the gym.

    If you... read on

Lately, every time we visit the new office, there’s something new to see! Recently, steel staircase stringers were hung and staircase treads from large 12’ x 4” Douglass Fir posts were cut and installed. The result is a maze of staircases that allow unique views to be seen through all three levels.

We were also excited to see the first of several new flooring materials installed. Tile was laid in all bathrooms and the shower room on the main and lower levels. While bathrooms may not seem too exciting, our team was very happy as we are all looking forward to having more than one bathroom.

Our new building is more than just a new space. It represents a new chapter in our company’s growth. Months of careful planning has gone into making the new building a creative, collaborative and productive environment. (More on this to come.) As we prepare to enter a new era in TrendyMinds history, we will also be rebranding.

The TrendyMinds rebrand is one of the most exciting (and difficult) parts of this process. While we aren’t quite ready to share with you our new logo, we can give you a sneak peak at our new color palette. Well honestly, we don’t have much of a choice if we continue... read on

Ater an extended stay at our temporary space on Mass Ave, we couldn't be more ready to move into our new building. We've grown a lot since we started down this journey to a new headquarters. Adding many new clients and 13 new team members has really forced us to get to know each other in such a small space. But we're looking forward to being able to sit more comfortably with three levels of office space in the new building. This week, the lower level began to take shape with the addition of drywall and the placement of cabinets in our coffee bar, bathrooms and shower room.

    We can also... read on

We’ve spent a lot of time visualizing the new office. Now, we can finally see it start to come together. All of the HDMI, CAT6, cable, electrical, audio and security wires have been run. It’s time to button the place up and turn on the AC for the first time – which is quite fitting considering the record heat we’ve been having.

The drywall is nearly finished, allowing us to begin interior finishes. This includes installation of the fireplace, doors, trim and cabinets on the first floor. Still to come is the custom tile we hand picked from Heath Ceramics to go around the fireplace. To see... read on

While we’re always thankful to have a roof over our head, we are especially excited about this one! Our roof will have dual functions – acting as of course, the roof, and the deck for the new rooftop meeting space. Steel support beams have been put in place to strengthen the structure and hold our weight while on top. The roof has also been raised a level to build in a welcoming, composite deck.

When finished, the new deck will run the entire width of the building and will be approximately 40 x 34ft. We’ll use the space for entertaining, meetings, brainstorming sessions and “escapes” for... read on

One thing we’ve realized throughout this construction process is, even the smallest change can make a big difference. As of late May, all of the windows were in the building. This includes creating new windows in addition to replacing the ones that were already there. We had to cut out the original window holes that were once covered over with concrete years ago. Five windows on the second floor are new as are five windows in the lower level. It’s amazing how different these windows make everything look.

We’re looking forward to lots of natural light on the lower level and amazing city... read on
