The recent hit single by Lady Gaga “Born This Way” has raised many concerns among music fans because it is strikingly similar to Madonna’s 1985 single “Express Yourself.” Whether or not she stole the beat from her is debatable, but there is no doubt that the two songs have similarities. Even the themes of the two songs are similar if you think about it. Lady Gaga is basically saying that you should love yourself, and not to live in regrets. While Madonna’s song is about expressing your feelings and respecting yourself. Both songs are essentially built around the same idea, self-esteem. I think it’s a great message to send to the public, but why couldn’t Lady Gaga have been a little more original in the way she “expressed herself?” It seems that her whole message, manner, and fashion sense is built around being different and unique, but does her new single live up to these standards? That is up to you to decide.

To get to the point: Never lose your sense of originality and creativity. These key characteristics are what make new ideas happen everyday. Think of where we would be without people stepping up to be different. I definitely wouldn’t be typing away on my fancy MacBook Pro right now, if Steve Jobs didn’t think of the idea and make it happen. So in the words of Madonna, express yourself!
Thanks a lot for your clearly opinion. I’m looking forward to seeing how TrendyMinds will continue to grow and use creativity, originality, and strategy to benefit the company in the next year. Thanks!
