TrendyMinds has closed on the former Carpenters’ Union Hall building at 531 E. Market Street. The integrated marketing communications agency plans to complete full renovations over the next five months and move into the newly refurbished building in the first quarter of 2012.

TrendyMinds’ new office will be three levels covering 8,300 square feet. The agency plans to completely strip the interior of the building to create a new floor plan that offers more room for additional staff and conference space that features the latest communications tools and technology. TrendyMinds will also build a rooftop deck to host events and client gatherings. The total investment is expected to be approximately $1 million.

“This closing has been a long time coming, but we are excited to finally begin renovations,” says Senior Vice President and COO, Tyler Murray. “The new space will be designed to spark creativity and encourage collaboration among our staff and clients.” 

TrendyMinds currently employees 14 full-time employees and is located in a temporary office on Massachusetts Avenue. The agency specializes in website design and development, public relations, branding and video production.

“In a time when the economy is struggling, we have been fortunate to see tremendous growth thanks to a terrific group of clients,” says President and CEO, Trevor Yager. “Our goal is to keep the momentum going. We see this new location as a foundation for future expansion.”

Yager said TrendyMinds plans to announce a commitment for future job growth when the new location opens the first quarter of next year.
